1. Lifelong skills
- By doing the Idea Journals, I learn to record my ideas and the process of generate ideas. This is important because it is more easier to let other people know what are we try to shown on our works.
2. Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
- By completing the idea journals, I learn to think creative and critical. For example, I need to imagine the safety pins is a real object and investigate what safety can do rather than pin clothes together.
The Idea Journal One
The Idea Journal One is about to draw 2-5 mind maps to learn about our pet object. We also need to give a name and create a logo for it. My pet object is safety pins. Though this journal, i know more about my new "pet" and improve my investigate skill by observing and investigate the strength and weakness of my pet object.
The Idea Journal Two
The Journal Two is about what can I do and what I cannot do with my object. I learnt to think creatively to use my object. For example, beside the main function which is to pin the clothes, I also use the safety pin to make accessories.
The Idea Journal Three
The Idea Journal Three is to imagine my object as a superhero. I used to be imaginative because there is no a safety pin to become a superhero before. I think it is the first safety pin superhero in the world.
The Idea Journal Four
The Idea Journal Four is to understand what is analogy, metaphor, simile and personification. Next, we need to build an example based on our object and another example that based on other object.
